Last night I had the pleasure of cooking dinner for my mum and stepdad. Usually I cook GAPS food for myself and mum cooks what she calls ‘regular food’ for everyone else dining at our place that night. I miss cooking some of my old favourites, such as a simple chicken curry with steamed Jasmine rice. I always jump at the chance to cook a meal for the rest of the family.

Spectacular Soul Saturday: Katie Hoodless
Katie is a friend of mine who made gradual, yet radical changes to her diet and lifestyle and reaped countless benefits for doing so.
Experiencing the changes herself has driven her to educate her community on how to live happier, healthier and more vibrantly – one baby step at a time.

While I’ve been away
It’s been a busy, busy August! Semseter 2 has started at College (and lecture content is a wee bit complicated thus far), I volunteered at The Wellness Summit and (most importantly) I travelled up to the Sunny Coast for my Twenty8 Health and Lifestyle Educator Program Graduation!!!!!!!!! That’s too many exclamation marks, isn’t it?
Spectacular Soul Saturday: Simone Butchard
Meet my honorary ‘big sis’ Simo! A ray of sunshine who lives according to my favourite proverb;
“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared” – Attributed to the Buddha (c.563 BC – c.483 BC)
After finishing reading her candid and optimistic answers you’ll likely feel driven to check out her website which is bursting full of life – the biophilia practically jumps through your screen!
I’m near certain you’ll love her as much as I do,

28 reasons I love Twenty8
I’d like to introduce you to Twenty8. Google them. A business that is influencing the world, one aroma at a time.
Below are the 28 reasons that I fall more in love with these incredible products (and the team behind them) each and everyday.
The Creamy Green One
This is a spin off of my cauliflower soup recipe, omitting the fluffy white cauliflower florets for their humble cousin, the vibrantly green broccoli.
It’s a great way to get your greens in when it’s cold and your favorite salads and green smoothie recipes (despite their deliciousness) sound unappealingly chilly.
Enter Shrek soup (or if you don’t have kids; creamy broccoli soup)
Spectacular Soul Saturday: Amber Magna
This week’s Spectacular guest is my mate Amber.
I am always blown away by her down to earth approach to health. At 23, Amber is already moving towards her goal of inspiring the population to give a damn. She has 2 years of Naturopathy under her belt, written an online program called ‘Simply Eat’ and just recently graduated from Kim Morrison’s HLE programme. On top of these merits, she is one of the kindest, and most generous humans I know!

Spectacular Soul Saturday: Donna Heathcote
You see that gorgeous creature front right, bobbing down beside me? That’s today’s guest Donna Heathcote. Donna and I met last November at a retreat called Awaken the Change Within. We instantly developed girl-crushes due to our shared interest in gut health, mindset and puppies. I call her my ‘other mother’ and she calls me daughter (peas in pods!).

Spectacular Souls Saturday: Jessie Reimers
Fucking Stop It!!! It’s Jessie from ‘Get A Fresh Start’, best known for her work on the recent ‘Flick the Tick’ campaign where she took on the Heart Foundation and their revoltingly misleading tick program.
Meet foul-mouthed (preach those f-bombs oh candid one) yet sweet-hearted Jessie …
